ELIGIBILITY

This is an open ideas competition. ALL are welcome. Architects, designers, artists, students and anyone with a creative solution are invited to submit proposals.

Entrants will be able to participate individually or in groups. There is no limit on the number of participants in a group entry. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. There is no limit on the number of times one can enter.

SUBMISSION REQUIEMENTS

Entrants are required to submit the following material:

One (1) 30” x 42” presentation, to be oriented vertically. Presentations are to be mounted on a rigid, flat board (i.e. 3/16” foam-core).
Physical models or other extraneous material will not be accepted.

A completed registration form and payment of registration fee.

Compact disk (CD) with competition panel in .jpg and .pdf format, and a competition statement in .doc (Word) format (maximum 250 words).
Design and accompanying material shall be sent without names or distinguishing marks of any kind in order to preserve anonymity. RBR:360 competition organizers will assign a number to each board and registration form.

For local Orlando entries that wish to drop off their entry boards in lieu of shipping they CAN do so at 311 Circle Drive, Maitland, Florida 32751. Entrants should call 407-647-2950 ext.22 before doing so.
All other entries should be shipped to the given P.O. Box.

Q&A

Any questions regarding the competition are to be submitted via email to questions@RBR360.com by July 11, 2008. Answers will be posted on the competition website by July 14, 2008.

 

AWARD

The jury will select winning entries for first, second and third place positions. Each participant will receive an award of recognition and display on the RBR:360 and CFLM websites. Each will be asked to participate in the fulfillment of their winning entry.

OWNERSHIP

Any and all materials and ideas submitted as part of a competition entry, including but not limited to drawings, renderings, photographs, photocopies, digital files, ideas and derivative works, shall become the sole and exclusive property of Nils M. Schweizer Fellows. Nils M. Schweizer Fellows shall own and have the sole and exclusive right to use, copy, distribute, translate, modify, display and prepare derivative works of entries, as well as the right to authorize such uses by others. Nils M. Schweizer Fellows shall have the right to obtain and to hold in its own name, copyrights, registrations or other such protection as may be appropriate to the subject matter, and any extensions and renewals thereof.

To the extent that an entry is not selected as a winner, ownership of entries shall revert to the applicable submitting Competitor, except that all Competitors shall grant to Nils M. Schweizer Fellows a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive license to use and/or reproduce the entry in any way, in any medium now known or hereafter devised, for any purpose, including but not limited to publication, exhibition, and archive of the Competition. Nils M. Schweizer Fellows will make reasonable efforts to credit Competitors at all times.

By submitting an entry, Competitors certify that the materials and ideas submitted to the Competition are original and have not been previously published. Competitors additionally certify and that neither their entry, nor the use thereof, violates, infringes or otherwise conflicts with any copyright, trademark or property right of any third party.

Competitors acknowledge that Nils M. Schweizer Fellows and its partners may exhibit all Competition entries in an online gallery, and a selection of Competition entries may be chosen for physical exhibition and/or public display following the announcement of the winners. Nils M. Schweizer Fellows will make reasonable efforts to notify Competitors of any public exhibition or display entries through correspondence with the primary contact listed on the Registration Form.

Due to the nature and funding for this project the proposed timeline for construction is indefinite, if ever.

Nils M. Schweizer Fellows and its partners do not give any guarantee, written or verbal, that the winning entry will be built, constructed or approved by local authorities, in full or partial.
