When is the deadline for the competition?
- All entries must be received by 08.08.08

Is it required that we reuse all of the existing panels in our design?
- It is recommended that all 120 panels be reused.

Is the 125' measurement of the exisitng building the diameter or the radius? Please confirm.
- The diameter of the round building is approximately 125’. NOT the radius as was listed early in the competition. Many apologies.

Could you give us your phone number and facsimile number to put on a shipping label for our board?

Can electronic files be sent instead of a board?
- Due to the nature of our juries and proposed display of ALL entries it is necessary for us to receive an entry board.

Can boards be dropped off instead of shipped?
- For local Orlando entries that wish to drop off their entry boards in lieu of shipping they CAN do so at 311 Circle Drive, Maitland, Florida 32751. Entrants should call 407-647-2950 ext.22 before doing so.
All other entries should be shipped to the given P.O. Box.

I am having trouble downloading the autocad file. Is it still available?
- As of 7.13.2008 all links are working in IE7, Firefox 2 & 3 and Safari.

The Google Map Links do not work and I cannot find the recommended sites on Google Earth.
- As of 7.13.2008 all links are working in IE7, Firefox 2 & 3 and Safari. Loch Haven Park is located at Princeton St. and Mills Avenue in the art district of Orlando. Lake Eola is near East Robinson St. and North Rosalind Avenue in Downtown Orlando. Lake Ivanhoe is near Ivanhoe Blvd. and Orange Avenue. It is bisected by Interstate 4 and marks the beginning of the antique district in Uptown Orlando.

Have the jury members been selected?
- No

As industry professionals, if indeed the project goes into design/ construction, do we relinquish all claims or rights to our intellectual properties? Is this competition meant to be on a work for hire basis?
- The winning entrant will be asked to be part of the process throughout construction. It is the winner’s choice to do so in the manner that they feel comfortable. Contractual agreements have not been determined. The competition is open to everyone not only architectural professionals. Please see the ownership section of the site regarding rights.

Can additional “diamonds” be used? Made?
- Additional panels could be made if the contestant deemed it necessary.

Are specifications available on the manufacturing and making of the “diamonds”?
- All information is available in the scanned original drawings. Contemporary “Specifications” are not available or known to exist.

Can the “diamonds” be manipulated (tinted, painted?)
- The diamonds are precast concrete. They can be manipulated however the contestant sees fit.

What is the structural strength of the “diamonds”?
- The panels are currently hung from the former roof and second floor slabs. Their structural integrity has not been determined for use in other orientations. Additional bracing might be necessary in any future application. This is unknown until the panels are removed from the structure.

Do the back of the precast brise soleil pieces have a radius?
- No
